Troy Otto’s Defensive Prowess Turns Heads

Goalie turned defenseman Troy “The Successful One” Otto had a shutdown game on defense Monday evening for the Mighty Ducks. Troy was able to play 40 minutes of a 45 minute game and allowed 0 goals against during that time. It was only after Troy had finished his final shift of the night that the Nordiques were able to score and bring the game within 2. Then, when Otto left the ice to change for his next game, the Nordiques scored again to bring the score to 4-3. The Mighty Ducks, however, basking in the will of Troy Otto, were able to hold out for a 4-3 victory. Troy was unsurprisingly excited after the matchup:

“HOO HOO! I was a dynamo out there! No one was getting past me! North Stars have no weaknesses! I was like a black hole, sucking Peso into my orbit so he couldn’t land a good shot on net! Everyone better watch out for my official debut as a defenseman. 1st Round, Baby!” -Troy “Pylon” Otto

“Man, I felt like I was missing my assignments the entire game, but I had to skate to the other side of the ice all the time. I needed to cover for Troy all night! He was constantly out of position, and kept giving Peso all the room he could have asked for to cut inside and snipe. It was a relief when he left early. Jeez, what a terrible player.” -Bob “Coach” Gibb

No matter who you believe, the Ducks will get a healthy boost in the Power Rankings now that Troy has subbed for them.
