This episode of  Planet Earth, we take a look at how Killer Whales feast on seals off the coast of South Africa. Last year we filmed a rare occurrence of a golden seal we named King Slayer Proctor rally a group of seals to out smart a pod of killer whales. That group of seals were one tough group, fast and smart with a little grit not usually seen in seals. Just when you thought the Orcas were about to devour the seals, The king Slayer (proctor) went ahead and took a big chunk out of the alpha whale we call Trent. We have seen these two meet before with Trent playing with his food almost like  he was riding a horse or pony before he attacked. Proctor and the seals gave the Orcas horrible wounds and the seals ended up getting the last laugh….or so they thought.

With Proctor migrating to America with two calfs (baby whales Manny and Brauny) who looked fondly of proctor and what he did to their parents. Some of the remaining seals stuck around and tried to fill Proctors flippers. ShaunE and Chris Taylor look to try and take on the roll of proctor together, one manning the attack and one holding down the fortress in a defensive roll. The orcas led by Alpha male Trent and father of Trent, Walters have joined with a smaller pod led by a middle aged male with a white birthmark on the lower part of his tail. Almost looks like a patch of tape to cover up a previous wound. Kimmel is know for quick attacks that almost always end in a kill. Nicknamed the stealthy sniper his attacks are thought of as just kill shots. Can he bring the whalers what they need to take down the seals once and for all?

The seals started off fast and smart with new comers to the group, Qtip who has a oddly oval shaped head which looks like a Qtip. House who use to live in an abandoned Lifeguard shack by the coast until humans ran him out of his home. they looked strong with these newcomers taking shots and capitalizing on mistakes made by the Orcas. Trent had Qtip in his grasp and just lost a handle and Qtip nipped him right in the tail to put the seals up 1-0. With the Orcas heads down and thinking that everything was going wrong, a wise sea turtle showed up and gave the whalers a little bit of inspiration. The whalers buckled down, and toyed with the seals long enough to have the seals think they were going to win this battle again. The Seals up 2-1 when Chris Taylor took a low blow on one of the whalers and stumbled into a crab trap where he was stuck for a couple of minutes. Without one of their leaders and down a seal, the whalers decided to attack, they went full force with shots and shots on the seals. With 3 seconds left, the seals tried and clear the area, the puck slipped over to Myers  who found himself with a wide open shot on Aaron the goalie seal. With a big slap of his tail he stunned Aaron with a clap bomb to tie the game with .5 seconds left.

We all know how the Orcas work now, wear down their opponent all game, sneak up and take it into a shootout. Peso the seal that loves smelling seaweed took his shot on JFlo who was previously caught in a fishing net and looks like he has some sort of armor on. JFlow knowing peso’s tendencies, stopped peso in his tracks without breaking a sweat. And it all comes down to this…. The Orcas attack specialist and alpha male Trent swims out to take the final blow on Aaron. Remembering the battle with proctor last year, Trent had a bit of red in his eye and was not going to miss this shot at taking down the seals. With a slight hesitation and a quick attack, he fooled Aaron to give the Whalers the last laugh of the battle. The whalers got to dine nicely that evening on some blubbery seals while the seals went back to the beach to figure out how they can get to the keg (where all the fish hangout) without the whalers attacking again.

This war is going to be a great show and we will be sure to record every matchup these two teams have. Will the seals get it together without King Slay Proctor? or will Trent continue his mean streak to not let the seals ever beat them again.
