The fifth round is compiled of players who are the heart and soul of the clubs they represent. Not flashy like Pistol or Proctor… they represent the core of a solid team.
- Americans – Jason McShannock: Amerks look to add a versatile player capable of playing offense or defense. His size compliments the team’s style. Not afraid to put pucks on net with his patented slapper. Once scored a goal from Dequindre and Woodward Heights. Roster- Proctor, Antioch, Peso, AJ Powers, McShanny
- Tigers – John Eidt: No idea about this draft pick. To make it into the MNL he must be of high moral character and ok hockey skills. Hopefully drinks Labatt Blue. Roster- Matt Taylor, Bin, Gio, Skillman (fricken sniper with a drag bunt goal last night), John Eidt
- Ducks – Joey Ellis: Coming into his own, Jumbo Joe has carved a niche in the league with timely scoring. He is the definition of a power forward. He can solidify a top line as a winger and uses his size to his advantage. The guy gets better each week and during the dog days of winter can earn his team points. Ducks management looks to build a team with size and determination. Roster- Pistol, Starr, Turtle, Brawny, Jumbo Joe
- North Stars – Allan Zamierowski: Solid player. Exemplifies the team concept. Goes about his business and is all hustle. “He is the type of player we are looking for” said Troy Otto. Allan Z is a grinder who can defend in his own zone, moves the puck forward and is tenacious in the corners. Roster- Sugar, Dave Judge, Wruble, Rivet, Allan Z.
- Seals – Doug Milson: Steady defenseman who hails from Moosejaw Saskatchewan. Brings his rough and tumble Canadian style to MNL. Grew up on a dairy farm and perfected his craft by milking tits. Soft but firm hands lends credence to his stick handling skills. Once asked a man if it was “a great day for hay” and then punched him in the face. Respected by his peers and feared by US citizens. Roster- Shaun E, Cunningham, Rattler, Dave P, Doug E Fresh.
- Whalers – Marvin Booker: Voted second whitest guy in the league behind Sam Machi. Chocolate Thunder is a puck moving defenseman prototypical of a young Scott Niedermayer of NHL fame. Capable of rushing the puck into the offensive zone and still puts himself in the proper defensive posture. Solid pick at this point in the draft. Roster- Mr. Perfect Serda, Trent, Kimmel, Mountain, Chocolate Thunder
- Nordiques – Bauer: GM Panty Dropper and Coan are compiling an unconventional roster. “We’re looking to shake things up in the league” said Drager. The Nords are building an interesting lineup with a mix of grizzled veterans and young stars. Plug Bauer in to log a lot of minutes on the ice without being a liability. Responsible player who can shut down the top lines he faces. Roster- Andy Femm, Chris Taylor, the General, Gram, Bauer.
