MBN Playing Possum?

The maligned Must Be Nice squad showed signs of life last night and gained a shoot out victory over Team ShaunE. “Our plan all season is to lull teams asleep and have them underestimate us for the playoffs” said team architect and Owner/GM @smatchmo . MBN players bought in on this philosophy and have gone winless in regulation so far. Second line sniper @allanz said “We got ’em right where we want them” heading into a first round matchup with the Spitfires. MBN is looking to pull off a rags to riches story similar to the 2019 Nordiques in which @pauly and @pantydropper were part of. “No one remembers the regular season” commented @JgtWrubel “plus it’s only spring!”.

Three Stars of the Night

  1. @Tye Otto Best ref the spring league has had all year. No controversial calls, kept it clean and positioning continues to improve. It’s never a good thing to have the refs be the star of the show and lucky for us Tye was invisible!
  2. @tkshreve Kimmel had it all going last night. Scored two beautiful goals and had the game on his stick in shoot out only to be denied. Timmy looks rejuvenated and will be a huge presence if his team finds a way to hoiste the mini-keg.
  3. @ARiley Huge reason MBN has it’s four points this season. He apprehends the puck the same way he arrests pedophiles at a pre-school…with excessive force! He made key stops at critical times in the game and successfully shut down Kimmel and @ShaunE in shoot out to preserve the victory. Honorable Mention: @Troy Otto Last minute call up from Grand Rapids to tend net. He dusted off the pillows and played decent. Probably could have used some pre-game advice from the spiciest goalie in the league @Hetes or fan favorite @CLAWZ . When asked about his performance Troy said “Its hard to be the top defenseman and goalie in the league every year”.
