Ducks Franchise Folds

In the wake of a disappointing season, the Mighty Ducks have chosen to fold their franchise. The team will fold under the management of Brian Bustamante and Timothy D’Onofrio who have managed them for two years after escaping from the playerhood of being a Dique. The Ducks have had two top end finishes but nothing to show for it except two playoff losses. “The teams have been solid teams but in the end, that doesnt mean much without your name on the Stanley Keg” noted D’Onofrio. With no improvement and ticket sales at an all time low, it is not feasible to continue the franchise.

Another issue was a huge contract year for Pete Niphoratos. With his two year contract coming to an end, he was forced to put up enormous numbers if he wanted to stay with the club. He ended up putting up career numbers, especially in goals scored. With the release of Shawn “sugar” Hardy, Niphoratos was left to step up and fill the role of goal scorer. He took on the challenge, getting into tip top shape and skated like he was 30 again. “His age hurt him in the long run with a late injury to slow down his momentum, but we definitely saw a glimpse of a new player being born in this league. Any team will be happy to have him on the ice scoring goals and bringing a solid veteran presence to the team. Just bring some ear plugs or a good music speaker to drown out his play by play after he scores a hatty” said Bustamante. With Niphoratos looking for a big pay check, the Ducks would soon find themself in an astronomical amount of debt with not way of getting out, not even with the help of the gambling brothers, Troy and Todd Otto.

For the 2019 fall season, MNL has recently hired teo new owners/GMs to the league to add to the competition. The newest addition of the Tigers, managed by Ryan Allen and Jeff Skillman. With the Ducks folding, MNL was in dire need to fill the loss of their 7th team. They looked to the southern border and found two former executives from the Sinola Mexican Cartel, Timón “El Tortuga” Don Frio, and Bríon “monstruo de galletas” Bústa that will fund the new franchise.

With the ducks gone, the league can now hope to get back the signature theme. The entire league has a set theme when it comes to the team names (Defunct NHL teams). The Mexican GMs have chose to continue the trend (unlike some other foolish GMs who picked the Ducks! stupid millennials!). But which franchise will the two GMs decide on? The Colorado Rockies and the KC Scouts were the front runners about the discussion of a new team but what team will they choose?

Without further ado, the NEW 2019-2020 MNL team is…….

The Hazel Park Quakers!

The Quakers will sport the Philadelphia Flyer’s Orange and Black. “The decision came down to one thing: having a jersey that I can use when I sub for the Kflacs” GM El Torgua added.
