The 2019 MNL Spring Season kicked off last night in front of a sold out Viking Arena. Game one featured the Frontenacs led by Joey Brennan versus Must Be Nice and @smatchmo . Early on it was a feeling out process for both clubs as they learned to play with new teammates. Must Be Nice could only muster a single shot on @CLAWZ in the first period but when tested Cam was able to shut the door. “He’s got a huge chip on his shoulder after losing the Keg last season” said @dreamweaver . Both teams had some substitution in their respective lineups. The most significant was the addition of @jserda replacing the absent @youngtr7 . Captain Jack displayed his speed and scoring prowess by netting a snipe. @pantydropper commented on the sub up situation… “Having him in the lineup completely changes the dynamic of their squad and he’s so much better than Trent”. The result of the game was never in question as the Frontenacs imposed their will all night. Instant chemistry was formed between Greek Freak @pniphoratos and MNL newcomer @Andy Femmenino. “He’s a good kid” said @Troy Otto “I think he’ll be a North Star next year”. Pistol had a pair of goals including a terrible bad angle ripper past Nice replacement goalie Andres Hetes. Hetes spent last season playing for the Kenya Hyenas of the African Ice Hockey Federation. “My angles were all messed up… you know they use the Metric System over there, right?”.

- Mrs Busta: Quality game day performance. Excellent use and spacing of chocolate chips enveloped in soft cookie batter. Topped off her performance with a red velvet masterpiece.
- Captain Jack Serda: Multiple goals in a two game set. Rare combination of size, speed, touch, grace, handsomeness and vision. MNL’s version of Nik Lidstrom, the perfect human.
- @Tye Otto : When you don’t see the referee all night you know he did a good job. Confident no goal call by a cheating @pauly and a good call on a goal early in the game. He’s no @brauny , but he is a good Spring League zebra. Remember… it’s only spring.
