Seals Do The Shutout
Seals put an exclamation point on their hot start by shutting out the Whalers with All-Star talent on the ice. Nordiques claw back into it for a 4-3 victory. Both Teams are neck-and-neck for first place as the North Stars are looking at points left on the board and the Whalers are looking for answers.
Just What the Proctor Ordered
Proctor’s dishes are like Bad Medicine, and Bad Medicine is what ShaunE needs. ShaunE and Proctor flip the script and Proctor displays those playmaking abilities we’ve heard so much about. These teammates will be fighting each other for goals now. Both have high potential for trophies at the end of the year.
Paulinski’s looooong celebration directly contrasts his short time spent in the MVP Race, as said celebration triggers a Nordiques comeback that have North Stars pointing at him about selfish play. Paulinski falls from 2 to 4 in the stats standings and falls into last place in his team’s heart.
Nordiques spread it around as DaveP and Turtle Tim lead a cadre of 7 point scorers. Busta Breaks Loose on the List and records his first point of his career on a Turtle Tim DirtyGoal™.
The Whalers spread it out by making sure everyone on their team records the same amount of points.
Swanberg Sealed Tight
Swanburg’s GAA has fallen out of the Stratosphere after a strong shutout last night. The Tendy Dual between Coan and Troy continues as last night’s win gives Coan the slight notch in the Vezina race. Swantek gets zero run support from his boys.
Tye Goes High
Monday Night in Hazel Park, North Stars defender Tye Otto collided with Nordiques forward Shawn Hardy. Hardy skated around the zone with the puck and, due to a screen from a North Stars teammate, found himself in the trajectory of Otto. Rather than attempt to minimize or avoid contact, Otto takes a direct route through Hardy, making contact with his head. Otto left his feet, did like three front flips, and belly smacked right on top of Hardy. While we agree that Otto has no malicious intent on this play, we believe he does not make any attempt to minimize or avoid contact.
In Summary:
- This is considered Charging
- Otto has no history of supplemental discipline in his 4 game career
- Although Hardy was able to come back to finish the game, he spent a lot of time on the ice and bench recuperating
Following an extensive review of the video and a hearing today, the Department of Player Safety has decided not to suspend Tye Otto because of this incident. Moving forward, Otto will be deemed a repeat offender for any incidents moving forward and will be punished accordingly.
