In a very well played game the surging Nordiques beat the Americans 3-1 last night. The win secures the baby blue the top spot in MNL power rankings presented by the Otto & Brothers Megaphone Company. “The game was fast paced with back and forth action. It was a fun game to be part of” said @brauny. Each team had glorious scoring chances but were thwarted by good goaltending by respective puck stoppers @Tom Leader and @jcoan. The bulk of the scoring was in the first stanza. Bin got the Amerks on the board first by depositing the puck low glove side after getting a great feed from @antio1pd. The Nordiques quickly rebutted with goals from super scorers @Peso and first star of the game @hardyparty92. The evening would be capped off by an additional Sugar goal.

The difference in the match proved to be the team speed of the Nords. @qziraldo noticed the difference. “Our leaders showed tenacity and hustle. When you see our super stars hustling like that it just makes you want to go just as hard”. Q-Tip was referring to the 200 foot game that Sugar has developed. “We are trying to turn Sugar into a complete hockey player, much like Yzerman had to adjust his game under Scotty Bowman. Everyone knows Im a better coach than Bowman so he had no choice but to listen to me” said @pantydropper from the referees (@JgtWrubel) locker room shower. Admiring his play @manny spoke highly of his opponent… “This may have been the best game I’ve ever seen Sugar play. He didn’t have four goals or anything but his dogged backchecking prevented four going in against his squad”.

The Nordiques are on a roll and find themselves in an unusual spot in the standings. On top. “This is what I envisioned when I took over the Diques” said majority stakeholder @jcoan. “It’s taken three years but we’re finally in first. It’s a great feeling!”
