MNL to Issue Edict to Wheeling Taylors Forward Dave Cipparone to Stop Stripping Before Games

After his second incident of the 2018 Spring Season, the MNL will issue a “cease and don’t strip” edict to Taylors Forward Dave Cipps.

MNL deputy commissioner Jeremy Drager told MNLHN via email that the league will inform the Taylors that Cipparone must stop stripping during warmups. “Yes, we will be communicating with the Club. We don’t expect it to happen again,” he said.

On Monday, Cipparone could be seen taking slapshots with nothing on but his jock strap and skates. Later on the bench, Cipps was seen removing his shoulder pads and fiddling with his helmet.

“Well, sometimes you just get the urge, so, you know, you whip off a few layers,” said Cipparone on the incident.

It was the second time in this season Cipps whipped off gear. In the Taylors matchup against the Shugacubes, Cipps missed his opportunity for a shootout chance when his helmet and 3/4 of his protective gear had been strewn about the ice.

“I thought [JFlo] was too cold. I just wanted to get close to him and warm him with my body heat,” Cipps said after the incident.

MNL allegedly told the supervisor of officiating for that game to communicate its displeasure to Cipps after that incident, but both Drager and Cipparone denied he was warned.

This time, however, Cipps has gone a lapdance too far.

Wheeling Taylors Forward Pete Niphoratos was asked if he ever considered stripping before or during a game. “Nope. Never. I’m a cippsaphobe,” he said.

You had to know there was gonna be a photoshop like this.
