What a magical night for fourth rounder, North Star legend and MNL darling Chad “Polish-Asian Assassin” Paulinski. Chad and line mates Pelot and Bauer totally outplayed anyone the Maroons could throw at them accounting for five of the six North Star tallies. Paulinski started the scoring early with the first two goals of the game in bar down fashion. Not wanting to leave his brothers feeling underappreciated, Chad set up the next two goals for his wingers. “Chad played an outstanding game” said team mate Lee Hughs. “He is the best Chinese hockey player I’ve ever seen and the dude brought egg roles and pierogies in the locker room”. Chad’s bid for the coveted hat trick lounge sport coat would not come to fruition but not for lack of trying. Verified by video review and a calculator, Chad set an all time MNL record for most shots on net with 47. “Dat ‘lil guy wuz buzzin’ all over the ice. He shooted so many puck on net. He shoud’a had the hat trick” articulated former team mate DaveP. Paulinski was the unanimous selection as player of the night and rewarded the sold out crowd with a curtain call twirl around the ice and a tip of the cap while being announced player of the game. One lucky fan even walked away with the snipers stick. Reports of the MNL Hall of Fame contacting that fan to recover the valuable memorabilia have surfaced. Terse negotiations between the fan and MNL Hall of Fame curator Charles Machi have begun. “At this point we have offered the fan season tickets to North Star games, a signed tip jar and 4 ‘Chad Credits'”
