MNL has largely operated under little to no regulation since its inception in 2016, but rapid expansion has exponentially increased the amount of traffic in slack, leading to the phenomenon known as Global Posting. Global Posting is suspected to be caused by hot air released by a device known as an @channel, but @here is also a lesser contributing factor. Research has shown that 95% of @channels are caused by only 5% of the population.
MNL has since appointed a committee to address this phenomenon chaired by Glorious Leader Jeremy Drager. Drager quickly sprung to action, and within weeks has created a resolution known as the TyeOtto Protocol.
“The TyeOtto Protocol is simple,” remarked Drager. “We understand the need for @channels, but we want to encourage alternative methods to wide reaching posting.” Drager developed a system where @channel permits would be provided to all users. He also set up a market where users could trade permits for goods such as money, beer, or 10th round benders. “We want the big players to be able to still post their great and important stuff, but we’re hoping to encourage the shittier posters to innovate. A great alternative to using @channel, for example, would be to actually produce quality content.”
Drager’s policy plan has been ratified in a unanimous 1-0 vote by the committee and will be sent to League Commissioner PantyDropper Drager for final approval.
