This is where things start to get interesting…
- Americans – Ryan Monette: Natural chemistry has already synergized a Peso-Proctor-Antioch superstar top line. Peso continues to put pucks in the net and in a league where goal scoring is at a premium and he fits the need of the Amerks. He provides the gritty play required in the corners and can dangle unsuspecting defensemen with his patented toe drag. Plus the dude is fun to be around and provides a “relaxing” aura with his presence. Roster – Proctor, Antioch, Peso
- Tigers – Gio Orlandi: Honing his skills over the Spring with Hockey Milano Rossoblu of the Italian Serie A League, Gio looks to bring his dashing smile and fashionable style to Southeastern Michigan. He can use his European hockey sense to influence MNL play. Gio can be the benefactor of a stacked top line for the upcoming season. Roster – Matt Taylor, Bin, Gio
- Quakers – Tim Turtle D’Onofrio: Predetermined landing spot for two time defending Lady Bin Award winner. Paired with GM Bustamantasaurus they always build a quality roster capable of winning any given week. “I really only partnered with Busta for the cookies” said the GM. Turtle adds versatility to the roster. Can play solid defense or a compliment to the top line and contribute offensively. All around good guy who “out-kicked his coverage” by landing his beautiful wife. Roster – Pistol, Starr, Turtle
- North Stars – James Wruble: Top flight defenseman who has no problem jumping up into the play. Great hockey sense and distributor of the biscuit. “If I had four Wrubles on defense I would be a happy man” said GM Troy Otto “but I would still bitch at him!”. Quality locker room guy and has the referees ear to sway decisions in the dastardly North Star way. Roster – Sugar, Dave Judge, Wruble
- Seals -Dan Ratliff: Look for Rattler to be highly motivated this year. He takes this slide down the draft board and it pisses him off. Look for an angry rattle snake out there looking to sink his poisonous venom in unsuspecting goal keepers. He is an all around complete player with a mantra of Forecheck, Backcheck…Paycheck! Perfect fit for a coaching staff who wants a hard working player without the drama. Solid two way player with the ability to center his own line. ShaunE, Cunningham, Rattler
- Whalers – Timmy Kimmel: Looking to get the band back together the Whalers welcome in hometown fan favorite Kimmel. There’s a long history and loyalty between the club and grizzled veteran. GM Trent Young says it’s no mistake we drafted Tim. “Were a lot like the Lions. We reward loyalty with long term contracts”. Much like the Lions, the Whalers have not been relevant in decades. Roster – Serda, Trent, Kimmel
- Nordiques – The General: GM Dropper takes a huge gamble with his selection of the General in the late third round. His play will be dictated by his health. When his body is in working order he is a beast. Heaviest shot in the league hands down. Once took a shot from the top of the circle, blew it past the goaile before he could even react, struck the crossbar flush, bounced all the way out to the blueline before it was picked up by the other team mid-stride and off on a breakaway the other way. The General can be relied upon to score every night he is in the lineup. Roster – Andy Femmenino, Chris Taylor, General
