As Santa prepares to shower children all over the world with gifts, we look at what each MNL team needs under their tree…
Nordiques: Proctor’s Health. The baby blue have been on quite a tear since 22’s return to the league from a gruesome @adamhousesr hack. The rags to riches fairy tale depends on @pauly health during the dog days of winter. In order for the Norsemen to raise the Keg they will need the MVP of the league. @Peso needs to continue his stellar play and continue to deposit pucks in the net. Look for the Diques to make a late season acquisition and add a top flight defenseman to help @pantycopter bolster the blue line.
Americans: Secondary Scoring. The bulk of the goal scoring has come from the likely suspects. @antio1pd , @pbin12 and @jmcshannock have done the heavy lifting. McShannock continues to score from the parking lot with his long clappers but they need others to chip in. @dreamweaver needs to get back on the score sheet along with gritty d/f @manny . The most solid position on the club is their tendie @Tom Leader . If he could only rush the puck and score himself. The team plays tough but needs to elevate their game to separate themselves from the pack.
North Stars: Otto Power. As usual, the #FTNS are near the top of the standings. Is this just a typical NS year or is this the makings of something special? @Tye Otto and @ottotroy29 need to have the boys focused heading into the playoffs. No one remembers who won the regular season. They need their studs to produce if they want a chance to win the Keg. @gorlandi is having a career year (also a contract year) and must continue to lead the club. His game has elevated with confidence and playing along side grizzled veterans @dratliff , @jstarr and @The Sub Gram Cracker.
Mighty Ducks: Veteran Young Guy Pistol Pete. Pre-Season Dickie Dunn pick to win it all, the purple people must have @pniphoratos going full tilt. He has single handedly carried the club through Christmas. He has twice lounged in the hat trick club this season. He is the best player in the league 40-something or over. His strenuous pre-game routine and rope jumping ability have tapped the fountain of youth. Guys like @Busta and @Tim D’Onofrio need to supplement the scoring. @dslackerone needs to psycho analyze the locker room and add a balance of synergy. This league is not a one man show (unless your Proctor). The Ducks will need quality goaltending from @jjfloreno and the defense to step up for Dickie’s prediction to come to fruition.
Seals: Continue to Rise. @shaun_alika can score at will. @dcunningham8 is super solid but his point production is not becoming of a first round pick. Santa has summoned his most crafty elves to build Darren a composit stick to use. Santa has already granted @Pearcy the perfect body for Christmas, so what does he get the guy who has everything? How about some defensive prowess? @CLAWZ already got new equipment under his tree. Now he needs to play Santa and command his Seals to up their game.
Whalers: Throwback Hurricane Jerseys. The MNL Whalers are the primary farm team for the NHL Carolina Hurricanes. Much like the big club, the Whalers should switch up their uniforms and wear red, grey and black throwbacks. @youngtr7 needs to change the culture in the locker room. A complete re-branding could be the answer. @jserda , @chad_paulinski and @jellis would look fantastic in the new colors. This move would inspire the club. Rumor is that if the Whale don’t start putting the puck in the net, Officer @ARiley is prepared to put out an APB for a top notch forward via trade.
