After being acquired in an early season trade with the vaunted Northstars, center Chad Paulinski @chad_paulinski has lit the lamp on a consistent basis. Drafted in the fourth round by GM @ottotroy29 Paulinski was earmarked as a shut down forward. “We saw Chad as a second line grinder who could stifle opponents superstars”. What the Stars management couldn’t have predicted was his goal scoring prowess.
Trent Young @youngtr7 had the vision to see Paulinski’s offensive talent and swiftly made the trade for the diminutive centerman. @jjfloreno commented on the play of #92… “I’m glad he’s on my team. My GAA would be worse than a Nordiques goalie if I was facing him”. Other Whaler team mates are not as happy having him on the team. @Pearcy, a ninth round pick, believes his production would be better without him. “I only have three points because he hogs the puck!”.
Other players refused to go on the record with their statements. A player we will name Ron Maffeson @maff said “I’m sick of his selfish play”. Kim Timmel @tkshreve was overheard saying he would have more points than Mighty Duck star Sugar @hardyparty92 . Dustin Right @wright agreed with his team. “The guy has 12 ginos and 1 apple… the numbers speak for themselves”. “He knot on my team butt he is the bestest player under five feets” said Nordique magnate VapeD @davep .
The play of Paulinski has propelled the Whalers into the fourth seed going into the MNL playoffs. Can his twig stay hot? Can his whale tail teamates put up with his selfish ways? Is Brass Bonanza the greatest hype song ever? Can he handle the pressure? The goal of raising the Stanley Keg rests squarely on the shoulders of Chad Paulinski.
