Mighty Ducks Complete Circuit: Can They Be Stopped?

You can run, but you can’t hide

The Ducks showed the Seals who the true heroes of Hazel Park were last night with a 5-2 thrashing, clinching a spot in the MNLHL Playoffs. The Ducks showed their versatility all night, with many of their benders participating in scoring plays. Their 5 goals came off the sticks of 4 different players, including 11th round lovable GM Brian Bustamente. Whenever the poor Seals managed to strike back, the Ducks answered with a goal of their own on the very next shift. Poor Cipparone could not find his groove, as he was too busy receiving Thank Yous from gracious Nordiques. But, a defeat by the Seals sealed the fate of the Ducks, and completed their circuit of each of the league’s teams with 5 straight wins (and 8 wins in the last 11 games).

Some attribute the success of the team to Pistol Pete Niphoratos finding his groove. No one knows what it was that finally spurred Pistol towards success. Was it his brand new hockey pants? Or taunting by Cipparone? This journalist believes Pistol’s success can only be attributed to his patented pre-skate routine.

You all laughed, but no one is laughing now…

The Ducks look ahead to the Nordiques as their next victim, but also see the North Stars coming up in the schedule. Another win against the Stars will place momentum squarely in the Ducks’ favor leading into the playoffs. Troy Otto had a great game against the Americans, but terror could be seen in his eyes when the Pistol/Shuga duo was mentioned. If he cannot focus on knocking the net off during scoring chances, Troy may find an early exit out of the playoffs.

Come at me, bro

The Ducks are truly on a tear right now, and it appears like the only thing that will stop them is the end of the playoffs.
