All Best Ace: Turnbull Turns the Tide

Late in the second period during the Golden Seals-Mighty Ducks game, Supa Sub Chris “Please believe me, I didn’t do it!” Regner got the puck past Mighty Ducks Call-Up G Ryan Zennin. Referee Jim Seidel came to the scorekeepers box and reported the goal, stating the goal was scored by “The Ringer, from 90”.

Several players–including MNLPA President Hopeful Jeremy Drager (after he’s fired on Black Tuesday), newly anointed all-star Chad Paulinski, and real-life cardboard cutout Justin Wright–were befuddled with the stat line. “90? Who the hell is 90?” “Dear God….it’s Turnbull.”

"You see that point getter over there?"

“You see that point getter over there?”

“Dear God…”

“…it’s Turnbull!  RUN!”

That’s right. Golden Seals D Dave Turnbull, known for his strong defensive plays and calming presence on the blue line, managed to get in on this “points” thing the rest of the league’s been yammering on about. Every player in the league now officially has more points than his teammate Michael ‘Ace Cherry’ Pikora, who got into a fight with LTIR and lost.

When asked about his point during the game, Turnbull declined comment and told this reporter to “Go Away”. When Seals GM Todd Otto was reached for comment, he commented and this reporter decided not to report it.

From the Unemployment Line in Hazel Park, this is MNLHN Senior Reporter Jarómy Drágr reporting.
