WAS THERE A DANNY HULL SIGHTING?

Byline: The Bowels of HP Arena

According to multiple eye witnesses a man fitting the description of a self proclaimed senior league all-star, 0 rated draft rounder and boxing enthusiast was seen entering the rink last night. The man quickly disappeared into the furthest reaches of the ice complex and entered the hallway were referees mentally prepare themselves for battle. The alleged meeting took only moments and could not be confirmed. This reporter was able to contact MNL lead official Jim via Skype with questions regarding the reported incident. “I cannot confirm or deny that anything took place last night in Referee Locker Room A”. An anonymous source said that a conversation did in fact take place.

A man we will call Ristol Rete @pniphoratos stated “I over heard a confrontation taking place while I was jumping rope and I quickly placed a beer can up against the wall and put my ear to it to listen”. According to Viking Arena staff the suspect entered the building around 8:45 pm and approached the locker room. “The surveillance video is very grainy and we cannot make out the persons face” said zamboni driver Hank Fracas. Official Jim expounded on his comments… “The conversation MAY have went like this… He MAY have knocked on the door and approached Referee Greg with an outstretched hand. He MAY have offered a contrite apology. He may have rambled on too long and his explanation MAY have turned more confrontational. He MAY have told Greg that his actions were justified due to Greg’s poor officiating on said night. He MAY have even stated that “If you accept my apologies then the MNL Board of Directors will let me back in the league (actual quote, not fake news)”. A stunned Greg MAY have been mute and showed him the door”. Again, witnesses say that the alleged offender slinked out the back door or the rink in order to avoid video cameras.

This incident is under investigation by league officials, players and the Hazel Park Police Department.
