Traded Players Continue to Produce

MNL has had a long standing history of not indulging in trades; rather, GM and teams alike seem to follow the ‘grow from within’ mindset and just look to get better by growing line chemistry. As the trades pour in, however, so do the points. Stemming all the way from It’s Only Spring ™ to the 2017-18 season, there is a clear trend that shows traded players producing for their new squad.

Since the trade, defenseman Jason McShannock has netted two points, including the shootout winner over the Americans.  Although utility-man Marvin Booker has been reported with 0 points since his trade, Ryan ‘Peso Martinez’ Monette has notched four goals and three assists for his new team. His GM, Jeremy Drager, notes that Monette has been in on every single one of the Nordiques’ points since the trade, which has only been two weeks. Darren Cunningham and Dave ‘David’ Cipparone have each notched one assist, with Cunningham reported as ‘one of the fiercest players on the dot’, and ‘he definitely won 70% of his draws’.  Going all the way back to It’s Just Spring ™, Tye Otto had one goal and one assist, and Todd Otto helped Troy Otto earn a shutout in their first game together as brothers. The bottom line this season seems to be clear – each team that has traded has looked better than their previous lineup.

Things not trending well for your team? Need a spark in your lineup? There’s plenty of players seeking new heights, willing to change, ready to go, and they’re at your disposal – just make a trade.
