Tonight’s Players To Watch

Tonight’s Labatt Blue Light Players to watch:

Americans vs North Stars

Jeff Skillman: 2nd line center and power forward for the Americans is one to watch for tonight, with 3 goals and 3 assists in his first MNL’s season, look for him to help win 2nd line battle for the Americans. He is a tough match-up for any team with his size and skill combo. He loves to dish the puck but look for him to light the lamp once again against the North Stars’ only weakness, Troy Otto.

Troy Otto: Goalie, and only weakness of the North Stars. If they want to be zen with 10 then he will need to stand on his head tonight and shut down the infamous Proctor and Antioch combo that have been mowing down the competition. If he gives up more than 2 goals then the North Stars are in for trip back to reality where their winning streak will have to start over next week.

Diques vs Whalers

Peso: He has been on the Diques for one week and has 1 goal to show. He will look to continue his streak tonight against the Whalers. With bin not being 100%, Peso will be the go to guy to put the puck in the net since DaveP can’t. If Peso scores tonight then the Diques have a good chance to leave with a W tonight.

joe Brennan: Grind line center and work horse for the Whalers. He has yet to record a point all year. He will look to take advantage of the questionable talent the Diques will show in net tonight. If JB can record any kind of point tonight, the whalers will look to not give up on the season and go into next week with their heads held high.

Ducks vs Seals

Darren Cunningham: The seals new potential golden boy will look to continue what he started last week. Him and ShaunE seem to be gelling well and Darren will look to put some points on the board against the vulnerable Ducks. He was hidden away on the Diques blue line and is hungry for goals after being brought up to forward.

Jim Ellis: Looking to make his forward debut, he will look to cause havoc for the Seals young tender, Officer Riley. JimE hasn’t seen the offensive zone since the 2016-2017 Diques and he looks to put that team in the past and score some goals tonight. Watch for him to be blowing the duck call tonight because Bombay is back!!
