Dangerous Play Leaves League Reeling

During the North Stars-Mighty Ducks game last night, all of the fan in Viking Ice Arena was left stunned after tied-up skates and sticks brought North Stars F Chad Paulinski to the ice.  An unknown Mighty Ducks players stick got lodged in the skates of the young Paulinski, and was yanked away in an attempt to skate away.  Paulinski fell to the ice, whiplashing the back of his head hard and layed motionless.

Refs instantly stopped play and motioned team doctors to come to the player’s assistance.  North Star players came out to the ice and took a knee in prayer, because obviously they care about the well-being of their team, particularly Paulinski.  Paulinski laid their motionless for at least 20 seconds until we saw Paul Kariyainski gasp life back into his body.  Doctors loaded him on to the stretcher, where he threw up the thumbs up 👍 to let the crowd know he was ok.  Shortly afterwards, he threw up some gang signs 🤟 to let the little Amlettes know he’s still reppin the streets.

Since Viking Ice Arena doesn’t have its own medical center on premises, Paulinski was airlifted to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital for overnight evaluation.  Since Viking Ice Arena also doesn’t have its own helicopter, Paulinski was transported by Nordiques GM Jeremy Drager doing his patented PantyCopter® defensive move where he just falls on the ice and swings his stick around.  The flailing stick provided enough downward thrust to carry Paulinski to Beaumont, where he is still in critical condition.
