Americans G Andrew Hetes has been fined by the Americans for comments “unbecoming of the organization.”  Sources say he was fined beers for Week 1 of the season and was forced to issue an apology to the media.  Analysts are unable to determine which comment triggered the punishment from the team, as the goaltender is notorious for spewing fire.

With the monetary punishment comes a gag order, silencing Hetes from speaking to the media outside of a formal setting.  The gag order was employed previously with the Whalers last season, when both General Managers Madaleno and Braunscheidel were on the team.  The gag order is expected to last all season.
